What is RIDE + LIFT?

RIDE + LIFT brings two Studio Spin formats into one continuous class. Start with performance-based cycling intervals guided by RPM, power, and heart rate, then follow the same coach and group into the strength room for dynamic, higher-rep functional training. You get meaningful time in both rooms without split groups or shared stations.

RIDE of the Day

Build the effort with the RIDE of the day.

Studio Spin is amazing! They offer so many different classes and I love all of them. Spin, Strength, Boxing, Yoga and combination classes as well. The instructors are also incredible and motivational. There is something for everyone. My only regret is not joining sooner!

I have been spinning with Julie and Studio Spin since its founding. Every workout is different; all fun and challenging. Beyond the outstanding cardio benefits, Julie exudes such positive energy that stays with me throughout the day.

Love this place for a challenging workout that truly takes things to the next level. After having a baby, I had plateaued, and Studio Spin completely jump-started me back into a consistent routine. The workouts helped me regain my strength and confidence, and I finally feel like myself again. Highly recommend!

Our take on hybrid fitness

Stay together from bike to weights.

RIDE + LIFT uses two purpose-built rooms without splitting the class. The entire group starts in the cycle room, then moves with one coach into the strength room.

That structure gives you enough time for a meaningful ride and meaningful strength work. You are not switching back and forth in short bursts or waiting for another group to give up equipment.

The bike brings high-intensity intervals. The strength room brings dynamic, higher-rep functional movement. Together, they create a complete class and an approachable way to experience both formats.

What you train for

Cardio and strength in one class.

Build stamina on the bike.

Focused intervals train cardiovascular capacity before the class moves into dynamic functional strength.

Train functional strength.

Dynamic, higher-rep dumbbell work challenges the full body after you leave the cycle room.

Use your time well.

Experience two formats in one visit with one coach guiding the group through a smooth, purposeful transition.

Find your way into both formats.

The shorter portions make RIDE + LIFT an approachable first class and a bridge into standalone RIDE or LIFT.

RIDE + LIFT FAQs

Before you move through both rooms.

What is a RIDE + LIFT class?

RIDE + LIFT combines the RIDE of the day with dynamic, higher-rep functional strength work. The cycling block is adapted to support the complete workout, and one coach leads the group through both rooms.

How much of RIDE + LIFT is spent on the bike?

The class opens with 20 minutes of the RIDE of the day, adapted for RIDE + LIFT. The group then transitions together into the strength room for dynamic functional strength work.

Is RIDE + LIFT good for beginners?

Yes. The Studio Spin team recommends RIDE + LIFT and RIDE + SCULPT as approachable first classes because they give you a shorter introduction to each format.

Do I change coaches or join another group?

No. One coach leads the class from start to finish, and the entire group moves from the cycle room into the strength room together.

What is the strength portion like?

Expect dynamic, higher-rep functional strength work with lighter dumbbells and compound movements. It has more movement and cardio than the traditional strength focus of standalone LIFT.

What is the difference between LIFT and RIDE + LIFT?

LIFT is a dedicated strength class with traditional movements and opportunities to use heavier dumbbells. RIDE + LIFT combines cycling with lighter, higher-rep, more dynamic strength work.

What equipment do I need?

The studio provides the strength equipment, and cycling shoes and heart-rate monitors are available to rent. Arrive early if it is your first class so your coach can help with bike setup.
